What happens to your photo

Your photo is sent to an AI model that reads the nutrition panel and ingredient list and turns them into plain-language text. The photo itself is also saved, and a record of the result is kept — this is what lets us notice when readings are going wrong and fix them.

What we keep
  • The photo you upload
  • The result — product name, nutrients, ingredients, and processing level
  • Whether the read succeeded or failed, and why, if it failed
  • Your thumbs-up/down and any comment you leave as feedback
What we don't collect
We don't ask for an account, a name, or an email address, and we don't attach your photo to any identity. There's nothing that links a reading back to a specific person.
Why we keep it

Photos and results help us find cases where the AI misread a label, so we can fix the underlying prompt or model. Without them, a bad reading would just disappear silently instead of getting caught.

Not medical advice
Iksha explains what a label says, in plain words. It doesn't know your medical history, allergies, or dietary needs, and its judgments (like "processed" or "eat sparingly") are general guidance, not a medical or nutritional recommendation. When in doubt, check with a doctor or dietitian.
